GREEN PASTURES MONTESSORI HOMESCHOOL
Green Pastures Montessori is a nurturing and child-centred learning environment dedicated to providing high-quality Montessori education for children aged 12 months to 6 years. Rooted in the principles of hands-on, self-directed learning, our school fosters independence, curiosity, and a love for discovery. With a carefully prepared environment, low learner-to-teacher ratios, and a well-rounded curriculum that includes Practical Life skills, Sensory exploration, Mathematics, Language development, and Cultural studies, we ensure that each child receives personalised guidance tailored to their unique growth. In addition to our Montessori programme, we offer tutoring services for learners from Grades 1 to 7, providing academic support in a structured and engaging setting. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond academics, instilling values of respect, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for the world around them.
HOW WE CHOSE OUR NAME
The journey to naming Green Pastures Montessori was one of faith and divine guidance. After God called me to open the school, I felt certain that its name would come from Psalm 23. However, as I read through the passage, no name immediately stood out, and I began to question whether this was truly from God or just my own thoughts.
Later that day, as I walked into my parents’ lounge, music was playing on their laptop. Just as the song changed, a new one began—a song about Psalm 23. The singer’s voice filled the room with the words, “He will lead me to green pastures.” At that exact moment, my stepfather spoke aloud the very thought crossing my mind: “What about Green Pastures for your school?” It was a moment of undeniable confirmation. In the days that followed, the name was affirmed again by people I deeply respect and admire.
The meaning behind the name is profound—green represents new life, and pastures symbolise a place of rest and provision. From the very beginning, Green Pastures Montessori has been guided by faith, and its name serves as a constant reminder of God’s care, direction, and abundant provision.

At Green Pastures Montessori, we believe that education should be a personalised journey, meeting each child where they are and nurturing their individual strengths. For our preschool programme (12 months – 6 years), we offer an authentic Montessori curriculum, designed to foster independence, hands-on discovery, and a deep love for learning. Through Practical Life activities, Sensorial exploration, early Mathematics, Language development, and Cultural studies, children build a strong foundation in a way that feels natural and engaging.
From Grade R onwards, families can choose between The Good and the Beautiful curriculum, which integrates faith, strong moral values, and literature-rich learning, or the Cambridge curriculum, which provides a globally recognised, academically rigorous pathway. This flexibility allows us to support different learning styles while ensuring a high standard of education.
